Foldsafe ("the app") works entirely on your device. It has no account, no server and no internet connection.
What the app stores
The documents you add (titles, holders, issuers, numbers, dates, custom fields, tags and notes), the PDFs and images you import from the Files app, your folders, renewal history and settings are saved only on your iPhone, in the app's private storage. They are never sent to us or to anyone else.
What we collect
Nothing. The app has no account, no analytics, no advertising and no tracking, and it does not connect to the internet.
Reminders
If you turn reminders on, the app schedules notifications locally on your iPhone before a document expires. You can hide document names in them, and turn them off in the app or in iOS Settings at any time.
App lock and Face ID
If you set a PIN, only a salted hash of it is stored on your iPhone. If you turn on Face ID, iOS checks your face; the app never sees or stores your face data.
Backups and exports
When you back up your vault or export a CSV file, the file is created on your iPhone and you choose where it goes with the iOS share sheet. Restoring reads a backup file you pick in the Files app.
Deleting your data
Delete a document (it stays in Recently deleted for 30 days), use "Reset all data" in the app's settings, or delete the app.
Children
The app does not collect information from anyone, including children.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be published on this page with a new date.
